Third Time's the Charm Edition

Burritos three days in a row, we had some people come back to work from vacation and wanted Tapa, so I obliged.  The burrito weighed in at 1lb. 5.6oz (so it was freaking huge) and was delicious.  Tapa also continually impresses everyone with their pricing, as seen in the last picture.

Today I trekked out to Pasadena  under the charred sky of Altadena to pick up a little donkey y pescado at La Estrella.  The burrito was good and the prices were too, but what kind of self-respecting taqueria runs out of avocados?  Party foul.

Breakfast of Champions

I was guest no. 9.  8 people in front of me.  I'll have to try harder next time.

Little did Frank know, this gringo dabbles in Mexican food...

My car wouldn't start the other day and so I took it to a mechanic I
know to check it out and while I was waiting figured I'd get some
food. Frank pointed me in the direction of a nearby taco joint, I
picked up some al pastor and carnitas tacos and came back to snap some
pictures.

I think it a little funny that I can run a tab at the mechanic and
that the only other place I can do that is the place I get my hair
cut.

Going inside in-n-out is a terrible idea you smell the food but can't
have it yet

For a nation that makes as many centenarians as Gameboys, that food
sure seemed shitty for me

Small Island is a good name for a Japanese place, but also very wrong.

When I think Japanese restaurant, I think the Bodyguard soundtrack.

to discover new phases of matter?

Pupuseria del Valle on Victory. Love this place. Love dollar pupusa Tuesdays.
Also, pupusa and by extension pupuseria might be some of the greatest
words in any language.
